Improbable Objects was invited by Bad at Sports to exhibit at Expo Chicago. We made 3d scans of the Bad at Sports crew, their interviewees and members of the general public. Using Reconstructme and the MS Kinect we made 3d portraits in the booth at the art fair. We also exhibited the artists’ proofs for our first edition – Dr. N.A.T.O.M by Jacob Crose. Improbable Objects plan to release this edition in mid October 2012. Improbable Objects is a collaboration between Tom Burtonwood and Michael Moceri. Big thank you to Christian Oiticica for assisting with scanning, printing and working the crowd with us, thanks also to Nathan Aldredge for working up the CAD models in concert with Jacob, and of course thank you to Richard Holland, Duncan Mackenzie + all the BAS massive for making this possible. For more info on Improbable Objects check out our website: http://improbableobjects.com and sign up for our mailing list.
