The “Radical Publishing” symposium was really great – presentations included: Meg Mitchell about the Open Source Seed Initiative and her “Rain/fall” interactive artist’s book and ipad app;” Abraham Avnison: talking about “Sic: Deletions and Emendations” and his ipad app too; Brian Shaw showed a portion of his new film based on Aram Saroyan’s Four Monologues ; Allan Walker from the University of Salford, Manchester talked about his work with Eyecon and their projects to highlight the “heterotopia” regions of areas like Salford. The symposium was organized by Stephen Woodall from the Center for Book and Paper Arts at Columbia College to talk about what it means to reinvent publishing for the 21st century. I talked aboutOrihon and my residency here at AIC. It was a great time and i’m looking forward to connecting with everyone involved again soon.
